In its first quarter of fiscal year 2025, Adobe reported revenue of $5.71 billion, a growth of 11% year-over-year. The company’s GAAP earnings per share (EPS) stood at $4.14, while the non-GAAP EPS reported was $5.08, marking a 13% increase year-over-year.
Digital Media revenue was $4.23 billion, indicating a 12% growth year-over-year, while the ending Annualized Recurring Revenue (ARR) for Digital Media reached $17.63 billion, translating to a 12.6% year-over-year increase. Meanwhile, the Digital Experience revenue was reported at $1.41 billion, reflecting 10% year-over-year growth.
Cash flows from operations for the quarter totaled $2.48 billion. Adobe’s Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) were $19.69 billion, a 12% increase year-over-year, and the current RPO grew by 11%.
For the Business Professionals and Consumers segment, subscription revenue amounted to $1.53 billion, showing a 15% year-over-year growth. The Creative and Marketing Professionals segment generated $3.92 billion in subscription revenue, an increase of 10% year-over-year.
Looking ahead, Adobe aims for total revenue of $5.77 billion to $5.82 billion in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025. The Digital Media segment revenue is targeted to be between $4.27 billion and $4.30 billion, and the Digital Experience segment revenue is expected to be between $1.43 billion and $1.45 billion. Additionally, Adobe forecasts Digital Experience subscription revenue to range from $1.315 billion to $1.325 billion, with a GAAP EPS target between $3.80 and $3.85 and a non-GAAP EPS target ranging from $4.95 to $5.
Furthermore, Adobe has entered into share repurchase agreements totaling $3.25 billion, with $14.4 billion remaining of its $25 billion authorization.
