Broadcom Inc. (Nasdaq: AVGO) is a global technology leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, serving critical markets including cloud, networking, broadband, wireless, storage, and enterprise software.

In its first fiscal quarter of 2025, Broadcom reported total revenue of $14.9 billion, an increase of 25% compared to the same quarter last year. Adjusted EBITDA was $10.1 billion, representing a 41% year-on-year increase, and comprised 68% of total revenue. The company’s net income for the quarter stood at $5.5 billion, with a non-GAAP net income of $7.8 billion.

Broadcom’s semiconductor solutions segment generated revenue of $8.2 billion, up 11% year-on-year, accounting for 55% of total revenue. The infrastructure software revenue reached $6.7 billion, up 47% year-on-year, and represented 45% of total revenue. Gross margin for the overall business was 79.1%, with semiconductor solutions at approximately 68% and infrastructure software at 92.5%.

In terms of cash flow, Broadcom reported $6.1 billion in cash from operations for the quarter, leading to a free cash flow of $6 billion, or 40% of revenue. The company also spent $100 million on capital expenditures.

Looking ahead, Broadcom expects consolidated revenue for the second fiscal quarter of 2025 to remain at $14.9 billion, reflecting a 19% increase from the prior year. The semiconductor revenue guidance is approximately $8.4 billion, a 17% year-on-year rise, with AI revenue projected at $4.4 billion, up 44% year-on-year. The adjusted EBITDA is expected to be around 66% of revenue.
